Finished F40 replica in Rosso, front three-quarter view

The F40

My private project.

Before there was Macellaio, there was this one car. No client, no commission — just the idea of building my own dream. It began with two crashed cars.

The chassis

The chassis in this photo I built myself. Structure first, then the rest.

The shape

Then came the shape. Fitting the body, sanding, painting — until, piece by piece, the frame became a machine.

Every part a challenge

Four and a half years, all in my own time. Countless long evenings, nights and weekends. Thousands of hours. Every part you can't simply buy anymore, I had to track down, rebuild or restore — each one a challenge of its own. And, in the end, a lot of new contacts.

In detail

Rosso, polished split rims, yellow calipers. Exactly how I'd pictured it.

On stage

Eventually it left the workshop for the stage — at RS-EVENT, among real icons.

Recognised

Among real icons — and, in the end, an award. Four and a half years of work, summed up in one trophy and a pretty good day.

That one car became something bigger. It turned a passion into a profession — and the start of Macellaio.
